Illusive Rituals

Endless tunnels lead me, to dim corners of strange dimensions
Floating with waves to infinity, loops curling me to shores
I lose the stories seen, in witty rituals of my mind.

*This poem has been written using the Sijo poetry form. It is a traditional Korean poetry form(older than haiku and tanka which emerged during the Goryeo period of Joseon dynasty) which consists of three lines comprising 14-16 syllables in each line. Each line contains a pause in the middle not necessarily metrical. Line 1 introduces the situation or theme of the poem. Line 2 develops the theme with more detail or a turn in argument. Line 3 presents a twist or conclusion of the poem taking a profund turn. This poem has 15 syllables in each line. Sijo is based on more personal themes than other type of poetry forms.*
